WHO WRITES THIS STUFF?

Have you ever wondered who the Career Service professionals are at Chapman Law School? Well here is a little bit of background information:

Vicki Huebner

Vicki Huebner, is the Assistant Dean for Career Services at Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. She counsels students on legal career opportunities and develops programs designed to market Chapman Law and its students to a wide array of employers.

Dean Huebner has written numerous articles and has given many presentations regarding small firm practice.

She is a member of the American Bar Association, the California Bar Association, and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). She chairs a product development committee for the ABA’s General Practice Solo and Small Firm Division, and is NALP’s liaison to the General Practice Solo Division.

Dean Huebner earned both her bachelor's (cum laude) and Juris Doctor (cum laude) degrees from Brigham Young University. Prior to becoming a law school administrator, she practiced law for a small firm in Orange County, California specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice.



August Farnsworth, Esq.


August is the Assistant Director of Career Services and Professional Development at Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. In this capacity she counsels students on career choices, teaches job searching skills, plans and coordinates programs for students and alumni, and develops relationships with legal employers.

August earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin where she was on the Dean’s Honor Roll. While attending U.T., she also worked as an Orientation Advisor for three years welcoming freshman and transfer students to the University of Texas at Austin. In this position she advised and counseled individual students and parents about college classes and about college life.

She received her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. She clerked for a Barrister in London, England and clerked for a part-time Magistrate Judge. Prior to becoming a law school administrator, August practiced law as a litigation attorney. She began working as an attorney in civil litigation at the law firm of Haberfeld & Haberfeld in Malibu and Beverly Hills. She then moved to Foley Lardner Weissburg & Aronson serving as the Litigation Case Manager. She then moved on to practice as a litigation contract attorney at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker. For the last four and half years, August has worked as a legal recruiter specializing in placing attorneys and paralegals into temporary and permanent positions.

Ms. Farnsworth is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), the Los Angeles Area Legal Recruitment Association (LAALRA), the Orange County Legal Recruitment Association, and the southern California Law School Career Advisors. She is admitted to practice law before the State Bar of California.



Carlo Tomaino

Carlo Tomaino is the Recruitment Coordinator for the Office of Career Services and Professional Development at Chapman University School of Law. He helps manage the office and its programming on a day to day basis. In addition, he has worked within the Orange County legal community in various capacities for the past seven years.

Carlo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (magna cum laude) and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (cum laude) from California State University Fullerton. He is currently in the process of finishing a Master of Arts in Public Administration.

Mr. Tomaino is also a member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and the Los Angeles Area Legal Recruitment Association (LAALRA).
